Specialty waste streams going Autonomous! Could it happen?

Trucks move about $700 billion of cargo in the U.S. annually, which amounts to about 70 percent of the nation’s freight by weight. These are big dollar amounts and growing. This will drive the industry to be more efficient and progressive.

So, the question becomes, will this impact the specialty waste business? Will dump truck, dump trailers, roll-off trucks need drivers in the future?

It is interesting topic to think about and I wanted to write this article to share the idea and get feedback from anyone interested in the transportation industry.
